Dipesh’s Journey Back to Learning
Dipesh Kumar Sada, a bright and enthusiastic 12-year-old studying in Class 4 at Future Star English Boarding School, has always loved learning, especially in his favorite subject, science. His family struggled to pay for school fees, books, stationery, and uniforms. Eventually, Dipesh was suspended from school, and this deeply affected his motivation to study.
Despite these hardships, Dipesh continued attending the tuition classes run by ARK Foundation. During these sessions, Dipesh interacted regularly with his teacher, Karuna Miss. She noticed changes in his behavior and attendance and gently encouraged him to share what he was going through. Over time, she discovered the real reason behind his absence from school: his family simply could not afford the school fees. Once we understood the situation, ARK Foundation immediately stepped forward to cover Dipesh’s school fees and provide the necessary stationery items so he could continue his education without worry.
Since receiving this support, Dipesh has returned to school with renewed excitement and motivation. He enjoys attending classes regularly, spending time with friends, and exploring new things with confidence. Most importantly, he has regained the drive to work toward his dream of becoming a doctor. He believes that education teaches him discipline, brings joy to his learning journey, and prepares him to face challenges with courage.
A Story of Transformation
My name is Yami, and I have been a volunteer at ARK Foundation for the past two and a half years. I come from Badarjhula, Chitwan, and during my time at ARK I have grown so much; personally, emotionally, and academically. Being here has taught me the importance of commitment, kindness, and constantly learning.
When I first joined ARK, I had already dropped out of school. I didn’t really understand the value of education, and I struggled with anger and often spoke harshly. But ARK changed the direction of my life. Volunteering at ARK, I learned how to manage my emotions, become more disciplined, and slowly rebuild confidence in myself. Because of their support, whether it was school fees, stationery, or simply the emotional encouragement I desperately needed, I found the motivation to return to my studies. Today, I am proudly studying in Class 11 at Shree Prasad Singh Higher Secondary School with support from ARK.
I dream of becoming a teacher, someone who inspires and nurtures children the way ARK has nurtured me. One day, I want to return to my village and contribute to its development. I want to make sure children in my community receive a good education and have the chance to dream big, just like I did. I hope to become the kind of teacher who helps children grow holistically and achieve their dreams.
I am deeply grateful to ARK Foundation and the entire team for believing in me from the very beginning. Their constant encouragement and love have helped me stand tall today.
My journey is proof that with support, opportunity, and hope, any young person can transform their life and even become a source of inspiration in their community.
